Houston, we have a problem..........2007-12-30

I bought two of these for Christmas, and one would not charge at all, so I had to send it back. Looking at the various discussion boards, this seems to be a common problem. The other one charges OK, but only on the computer. It doesn't like the cheap USB charger I bought, even though my iPod works fine with it.
This product has a lot of great features, and I hope that we get to enjoy them without any further problems. I would recommend charging this product before giving it to someone as a gift. Then, if it doesn't charge, you can send it back before disappointing someone.

Is sound quality important? This mp3 player, like all Creative Zen's, has the best sound quatlity available, easily equal to or better than the ipod or zune. The big debate in my circle is ipod, zen, or zune. Ipod is not in sync with some of the major subscription music services and has proprietary idiosyncracies. The Zune and Zen are multifaceted interconnects for all subscription services. I choose the Zen because of the sound quality and ease of use/interface. The next comparable unit is a zune at over $149. I do not need portable music with more than 2 gigs. I love classical music with full orchestra, Russian composers, especially violin concertos...so I can't tolerate poor sound. In addition, I listen to foreign language music and audio books and there has to be clarity! Now for the complaints that this shuts down...if you read the directions that install on your computer you will see that this is an ENERGY SAVING feature. Your player is not OFF it is just that to keep the screen on after pulling off the usb port (where you charge and download music) you have to tap the little bar to the left to turn your screen on. All of this is covered in the product information guide. Any person with basic computer literacy, a USB port vs 2, and windows XP or better will have a ball with this zen. If you have never used either yahoo jukebox with yahoo music, or windows media player before, do yourself a favor and get familiar while you wait for yourn MP3 player to arrive. You need to know how to download, creat a playlist, and understand rip, sync, and such. But if you don't download, this little MP3 player is the best FM radio player ever. I have 32 channels on my presets. It is the best radio I own outside of my FM tuner. Over all, the best short of a zune. Very intuitive interface, and it has, gasp, a very useful back button.

Works well but very fragile.......2007-12-29

I've had both the 1 and 2gb Zens. They were very user friendly, the sound quality was good, but they are quite fragile and easy to break. The First Zen that I had that broke was admittedly my fault. I had left in in my car and that night we had an unexpectedly early freeze. The temperature dropped and the inner screen of my Zen shattered. I went and replaced it, but the second one that I bought wouldn't work on my computer at all. This was strange because it was the exact same machine that I had owned previously and it had worked fine. After a few lengthy customer service attempts it was determined that I just had a faulty mp3 player. I went to return it but this time decided to upgrade to the Zen V Plus. It worked well and I had no problem using it with my computer. The only complaint that I have about it is that it was very fragile. I was getting into my car and my Zen slipped out of my pocket and landed on the ground. It only fell a total of about a foot and a half, but that was all it took to destroy the display. I still have sound, but I can't see what I'm choosing to listen to because the display is pitch black. I realize it was my fault I dropped it, but you would think that it could stand up to more than a one foot fall before breaking.

To sum up: Its easy to use and I was happy with the performance of the two that worked, but be careful with it because it's very easy to break.

I love my Zen. I've had it over a month now. The software is included, but you can use windows explorer to load it.
Music, Videos, storage, Date Book, calander, Alarm Clock, Voice Recorder, and an FM Radio!
It does way more than they advertise.

It works with Windows, Yahoo Music, Audible Books and more.
Right now I'm downloading videos from YouTube!

I have never had to use the reset button.
Right now there are hundreds of songs stored on mine, I lost count at 250!
All high quality audio.

Now the bad news. It is a little slow to start up.
Go ahead and buy the (expensive) charger from the manufacturer.
I have found nothing else that works.

The screen it VERY bright in the dark, but still hard to see in sunlight.

Most files will have to be converted. I've found free software for that.

The Zen V Plus is the way to go. I ebjoy mine so much and by the way itt does lots of different things. You can download pictures onto it,you have access to fm radio and also a mike to record into . the sound is superb and the are many other things that you can do with it. get one it's awesome and cool.

Pros:
1) Comfortable build and easy to access the camera without removing the bag.
2) Padding is adequate and adjustable.
3) The space is great for a beginner or someone who is just carrying a couple of lenses and a flash.
4) All weather cover is nice and hidden away.

Cons:
1) Doesn't allow much room to grow. Now this is not the fault of the bag per se, since Lowepro does offer a bigger size. I carry a 30D and the 24-70 2.8L lens and it takes up the whole center slot. I have room for a couple filters, a prime, and a flash. This is about all this bag will hold easily. There is also some good space in the top compartment.
2) Because the stuff is stored sideways, the weight ends up on the lens to keep the camera from moving. This isn't a big deal, but it isn't quite as nice as certain other styles to hold the camera.
3) I wish the area that sits against the LCD had a soft padding (non-scratchable). As mentioned in Con #2, the camera sits sideways, so there is some movement that the camera body will experience.

Still overall a solid bag for a serious amateur, but if you are a pro, or have some large glass, you may want the Slingshot 300.

I'm using this with a Nikon D80 with an 18-200 lens. Plenty of room. Looks like good construction. It feels very comfortable and I'm looking forward to using it on an upcoming trip.

I needed a carrying case for a Fujitsu Lifebook B3010D, an ultraportable computer with a 10.4" screen. This shuttlebag is perfect, even though it doesn't (easily) zip closed when the Lifebook is inside. The truth is, I never want to zip it closed anyway--it's more convenient as a shuttle by remaining open, so that I can pull the Lifebook out and slide it back in as easily as possible.

My #1 use of this shuttle bag is to carry my Lifebook into and out of restaurants, so that I can surf the Internet when I have to eat alone.

I bought this Case Logic Shuttle for my 10" inch Phillips Portable DVD player. The player fits great and it has a cool DVD holder which fits securely in a front pouch so you can bring DVDs with you without luggging around their hard cases or another pouch. It also comes with a built in headphone splitter so two people can listen if your DVD player only has one jack built in.

My only complaint is that there is no real conventient place for me to store the DVD player's charger and Car/Airplane power adapter. I found a way to store them at the seam of the case but another small pocket somewhere would have been nice and made this case absolutely perfect!

I would advise against buying this case. It does not have any strap system to hold in the dvd player so you can safely watch the unit from inside the case. As others have written, there are no pockets to hold cables and there are only small outside openings - one for the disc holder and another for...? Maybe a plane ticket? For the price - which is not much - you seem to get just a basic black bag. Just not enough to protect the unit and hold the gear that goes with it. There is an earphone jack intended to allow easy access for in-case listening, but this is really a non-needed feature as you have to plug into one of the jacks anyway and you save maybe 2 inches of headphone cable? I'm sending this one back.

This was a decent purchase for the sale price, however it is not as sturdy as you would imagine it to be and there is no handle. It does the job and is not bad if you just want a mediocre case. If you need something strong and durable I would go with something else. Overall I am happy with it as I do not require heavy-duty protection and it fulfills its function.

I bought this product based on the excellent reviews it had gotten here on Amazon, but I admit that I am sorely disappointed. I bought this knowing that there was no handle as depicted on the case, so I will not count this against the product in the review.

My main complaint is with the CD sleeves. Both the cloth and the plastic parts do not meet expectations. The cloth is extremely thin and light, and feels like I could poke my finger through it if I tried. It is almost translucent when held up to a light. Secondly, the clear plastic part of the sleeves feel low quality, like they would tear or stretch after extended use.

If this is being used for its intended purpose of carrying CDs on the go, the hard shell exterior provides adequate protection. However, since the sleeves are of such low quality, my CDs fall out if the case gets shaken a bit. And, just to reiterate, there is no handle as shown in the product image.

Great for the college student in the family.......2007-10-03

As a college student with over 50 CDs in my collection, the Case Logic CD Wallet saves me plenty of valuable space. The cover is durable enough to protect your CDs from dirt, water and the occasional fall, yet is soft enough that it will not slip out of your grip. Not to mention that this is a great value at only $13 (at time of review). The only downside is that it does not have a carrying strap, but it still is easy to carry and like I said earlier, it won't slip out of your hand. So definitely buy this case if you need convenient storage for your CD collection.

A sturdy case. It does what it's supposed to do, which is to securely hold 72 DVD's or CD's. There appears to have been a slight design change as the handle that's shown in the picture is no longer there. None the less, I'm happy with it and have ordered another one.

I have a couple nylon softer-sided cases. Because the sides are stiffer and bubbled out a little bit on this one, I think this one will provide a little more protection when banging around behind the seat of the car. The item I received doesn't have a handle like the one in the picture; I'm fine with that, but it's worth noting.

Not the best option for active people.......2007-11-26

This product says "sport" in the title, but it really isn't designed for use while being very active. I run on a treadmill at the gym and the sleeve leaves the Ipod far too floppy on my arm. It really bounces all over the place and becomes an annoyance. The quality of the sleeve's parts are great, but the design is poor. If you ride a bike or are only lifting weights it will do the trick, but I would avoid it if you are doing anything more.

Great price but it doesn't skimp on how secure your ipod is when inserted into it. It comes with a nice screen protector that I have just left on even when I'm not using my ipod in the sports sleeve. The Velcro belt is very secure no matter how big or small your upper arm is. I've read other people have trouble getting their ipods in and out of the sleeve, I insert the bottom end of my ipod into the screen opening and slide it down. 1,2,3. When taking it out, its just like peeling a banana at the top.

This case has plenty of room, my notebook fits perfect. Its not big and bulky, it has padding to protect and lots of pockets and spots for extra accessories and paperwork. A very good price. I found in a store for about $54-$62.00. Great BUY. I am very satisfied with my purchase decision.

It protects the Laprop, but..........2007-12-26

First, let me say I like Targus products and have brought them for years. This Targus laptop case provides a simple no-thrills protection for your laptop and little else. You get what you pay for. Its pockets have little room to hold power supplies, dvds, doc, etc. For business, I would not recommend this case, I would spend the extra $10-$20 and buy the next version-up. This is the problem with the Internet... You can't always see what you are buying.

Perfect for travel! I bought and used for my grandson w/the DVD player when we travel. He can get comfy in the back seat and watch movies and I can drive in peace.

Not quite as pictured........2007-06-25

Unit shipped does not have the adjustable web pieces on the sides as pictured. Good price for $16, but wish it was as pictured. Would make it easier to orient the screen for viewing in the back seat.

Also, the velcro closure that holds in the DVD player isn't very good quality and is starting to come apart.

I thought about returning it. May still do so.

Does What It Needs to Do.......2007-05-13

Our family likes this case for our 7 inch portable DVD player. We can fit almost everything we need into the case. We also used the case in our 4-door pickup truck back seat for the kids. Even though the front seats do not have separate head rests, like cars, we were still able to use the straps in a manner that mounted the case between the 2 front seats for the kids to view.

As in other reviews that I have read, the only problem that I can see with this case is that the top side of the case does not open quite far enough to open the DVD player screen completely. Although this is a bit awkward, the movie could still be viewed. So I still like the case overall.
