The remanufactured DCT-7488 corded/cordless phone system comes loaded with features, such as expandability (the system supports up to four cordless handsets), a digital answering system, caller ID/call waiting, and much more. The DCT-7488 is built around a corded base (with a handset) that serves as the system's nerve center. At the same time, it also includes a 2.4 GHz cordless handset with its own charging cradle, so you can enjoy phone service in several rooms using only a single phone cord. The end result is a flexible, wide-ranging phone system that makes a great addition to any home.
It's easy to access the phone's features via the LCD screens found on both the cordless handset and base unit, with your choice of three menu languages (English, French, or Spanish). The system is also compatible with caller ID/call waiting services (subscription required), meaning it displays the name and number of an incoming caller even when you're on the phone with someone else. Other features include a handset-to-handset transfer option, 20 distinctive ring options (10 melodies and 10 ring tones), independent earpiece and ringer volume controls, a paging key that helps you find lost handsets, and a room/baby monitoring function.

Best Phones I've Ever Bought!.......2006-07-01
This phone set is great and I would heartily recommend it to anyone. It would take me too long to list everything I love but I'll try. It has a "do not disturb" button in case you have company or take a nap--none of the phones ring and the answering machine takes the message silently. The cordless handsets do not need a jack wherever you put them, just a place to plug it in. You can put people on hold with the speaker phone while they answer a handset. You can retrieve messages from either of the handsets which is great if you have a 2 story house or the answering machine is far away. I highly recommend this.
