Battery does not last!!.......2007-12-14
Picture is not bad when it is working but do not bother to buy this unless you buy a car adapter power cord. When fully charged the battery only lasts about 10- 15 minutes, so unless it is plugged in somewhere get ready for a black screen.

Neat Little System!.......2007-07-19
I purchased this for my son for Xmas (he was 2 at the time) so that he would be able to keep occupied with a DVD wherever we go. It is simple to use, and he can change dvd's and play them all my himself. I love the little stand to prop up the dvd on a table for easy viewing. Believe it or not, ir has stood up to a 2-year's abuse quite well.
There are better choices.......2007-05-30
We used ours for only a few weeks before it failed. First, the front latch broke, which made it hard to close to enable play. Then the rear left hinge broke, making the unit unusable. Interior inspection revealed that both parts were built without much fatigue resistance, making them subject to mechanical failure. The Sony optics and electronics continued to work, but the mechanical case parts were poorly designed. Additionally, the picture is small and grainy, really only suitable for a young child. The max battery life was a bit under 2 hrs and the unit was unable to play when charging. No vehicle adapter was included. Now looking for a more solid replacement; the Disney unit is headed for the junk heap.

We also bought this at Target. Bulky, cluncky, and cheap dvd player. Picture was ok on main unit, on the second unit the picture was too dark and the controls for the brightness and color were only on the second unit and did not effect the main unit. This does not come with a battery! Must be plugged in to use. We looked at this for taking on a upcoming long road trip and this will not cut it. :( Also packaging states that it comes with 4 different interchangeable graphics. It only comes with 2 patterns (x 2 units) made on flimsy cardboard. One design is tinkerbell and the other is the pirates of the caribbean skull. We returned this.
Cheap quality.......2007-11-29
I got this at Target. The video quality and sound from the speakers were ok. The case seemed to be extraneously large, probably to make it look more targeted towards kids, but it's just bulky (and probably heavier).
The phone jack on the slave unit didn't work correctly - I only got sound on one side of the headphones. Also, there were several options for screen ratio, but the slave screen ratio did not match the setting of the master. I returned it!

We bought this product on a whim for our kids. It entertained them during our long trips anywhere, with an added bonus that they each had their own screen in front of them.
The picture and sound (without the headphones) quality was great!!!
Would definately recommend this to anyone with kids!!!

Got this at Target and it was "okay". The 2 units stay together with magnetics which are on each of the units. Our biggest problem was the volume control was not loud enough. Our kids are too young for headphones so this was a problem. The extras were nice - headphones, guardian. Took back. Looking for something better.

hard to get fully charged .......2006-02-27
The directions say to charge for at least 3 hours or 3hours and 30 minutes...doesn't work. Yes youget to watch a little bit of the movie then it cuts out off on you even when you've charged it for it's time.nice that they give you a sampler but I would not give it a all around 5

"This 3.5" personal DVD is a lifesaver. We took this on our trip to Puerto Rico, and boy, was it amazing. The kids were able to watch their own movie during the flight, and they actually stayed in their seats. We've taken it on car rides and to grandma's house, and even used it when the kids couldn't get to sleep. The resolution is amazing, and the picture size is fine for kids or adults. It has built-in speakers, but we liked using the headphones for private listening! The built-in rechargeable battery makes it easy to watch all your favorite movies or listen to CDs. this is a great looking player the picture is perfect better than the one my daughter got last year that one was half the size of this one but.....and you know there was a but this dvd player contains a chemical known to the State of California to cause cancer, or birth defects or other reproductive harm. that is not hearsay either another website that also sells it has that disclaimer posted along with the product details even though my daughter loves it especially the bigger picture it is going back better safe than sorry we will stick with the old one
