I've used this bag to carry four cameras at once, though usually it sees two SLR bodies and a small complement of lenses and accessories. The quality is excellent and it is very well thought out in terms of design and durability. While it is a tad too bulky to use with a belt I've had it clipped onto a backpack with no issue. The rain cover is very useful and quick to slip on. You can also use the front flap to secure a smaller tripod if need be (I used a Manfrotto 191X with it). I'd highly recommend this bag to anyone who carries two SLR's around. It would be overkill for P&S cameras, unless you're carrying ten of them. At any given time the bag will house a Nikon D50 body, FM3a body, a 28mm prime, 35-105 zoom, 18-200 zoom, 2x teleconverter, 8 rolls of film, a speedlight flash, the charger and cord for the D50, portable hard drive in the front pocket, lens hoods, cleaners/brushes, and counless other things with room to spare.
Lowepro Nova 4 AW camera bag.......2007-05-19
The camera bag is as sturdy and versitile as claimed in the discription from the company. The rain cover does really protect the bag and contects inside under a little more than moderate conditions. I bought this to use as a replacement while my Tamrac sling back camera bag was being repaired by the company, and I was able to carry my Nikon D200 w/70-200mm F2.8 lens attached in the bag. There was also room for CF cards, extra batteries, etc. Now that I have my sling back camera bag back, I use this bag to carry my Fuji FInepix S2 camera, lenses and accessories.
The strongest feature about this bag is the durability and warranty.

This is my 6th Lowepro bag. Build quality is great. This bag holds my new Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1MP Digital SLR along with three lenses (see below). In addition, I keep a Canon Speedlite 420EX, batteries, and other accessories in the bag. I'm close to maxing this bag out but I would not have wanted the next larger one.

Handy dandy photo bag.......2007-02-13
I am an advanced amateur photographer (that means I've been taking pictures for years, and I have thousands of slides, but I make no claims for quality). My old camera bag has accompanied me on trips all over the world. I have a couple of overseas trips planned and I just added a new camera body and a telelphoto lens to my array of stuff, so it was time for a new bag. The Nova 4AW is just the thing. It is light weight. The velcro dividers can be ripped out and re-arranged to fit your fancy. Right now, I have two Nikon bodies, a set of close-up rings, an little Nikon print camera, two lenses, some film and a Coolpix digital in its case in there. The telephoto has to remain in its separate case, but I can live with that. Now all I have to do is decide on the film I will load in each camera, print or slide.
Lowepro Nova 4AW is a superb camera bag........2007-01-21
The Lowepro Nova 4AW met all my expectations. It is a fairly large camera bag able to hold an assortment of photo equiptment.I have a Minolta Maxim with an attached lens inside along with a flash unit. Also i have a Cannon SD900 digital in it's case. Added to that there are books for both cameras,backup batteries,cards etc.There is still plenty of room for a passport, plane tickets and probably a sandwich across the top. It is made extremely well. Velcro dividers, inside and outside pockets, an ingenius hide-away rain cover and a very comfortable contoured padded shoulder strap. There is also a sturdy handle and protectors, should you put the bag on the ground.This camera bag is well worth the money and should last many years.

Awesome camera bag. High quality product. Very large. I placed 2 large lenses, SLR with a battery grip/pack & a large lense attached, a large flash unit, 4 batteries & the battery charger in the bag with room to spare. I like the rain cover, although it took me a bit to find it. Very well padded. Lots of small dividers in the bag. The only fault I found with the bag is the lack of a medium sized divider in the bag. I like to leave my battery pack attached to the camera body with a lense attached. That requires more room in the bag. Another divider the width of the bag would have provided the exact space I needed. No big deal, though. I just improvised, but another medium sized divider would have been nice. I also have the Lowepro Nova 4 AW. It, too, needs another divider the size of the width of the bag. Still rates a 5 star!!
High End Large Bag Low End Price Tag.......2007-04-10
The perfect bag for those extra lenses you need to take. High quality bag all through out. Lowepro has always made unique sizes being experts in photography bags. Cannot go wrong with this bag. I put in thre following:

and more. There is still room for more!

This is a nice big bag with a lot of setions. I was able to arrange the bag to fit 3 slr cameras and lenes attached. There was also room left to put in my other lenes and supplies. The bag is a little heavy with all my supplies.

I had been using Tamrac LTX bags and when I bought my Rolleiflex, I found a LowePro Nova Mini, which fit it perfectly. I liked the LowePro so much that I got this Nova 5 AW bag. I bought larger than I thought I needed, but it turned out to be just right. I have a camera body, D200, 4 lenses and a flashgun. Couldn't be better. Build quality is superb. It's very well padded. The shoulder strap is wide and comfortable. Excellent buy.
Big and durable.......2007-01-07
I use this big and durable bag ALL the time for my 35mm SLR equipment including large heavy lenses and battery (lots of AA's) powered film winder. I do mostly outdoor shoots and my equipment is well protected.

Excellent small case.......2007-12-17
This is my 3rd Lowepro bag and even though it's small, it maintains the high quality of its larger siblings. I currently fit a Canon 20D with grip, a 28-135 IS, an 80-200 L and a Sigma EF500 Super flash plus all the batteries and cards I need. It took a little work but everything fits, albeit a little tightly. Overall, I can easily recommend this bag!
Just the right size for a mid-sized setup.......2007-12-12
Looking for a small bag for your SLR? Well I'd suggest a Nova 1 bag instead, as this will be too much for your uses.
Looking for a large bag for two or more SLRs? Well this bag is too small.
If you however have a SLR, 2-3 lenses and a flash, it's just right. I carry my Nikon D70s (with a battery grip attached), 18-70, 70-300VR, and 50mm lenses as well as a SB600 flash in this bag. Any of the three lenses can be attached, and the other two can go along for the ride. The flash cannot fit attached to the camera, but it fits when you disconnect it. I even can throw in the AC adapter, extra batteries, extra compact flash cards, and a memory reader. All of this fits with the top securely zipped shut. The whole setup is a rather large and heavy affair, but it works well as a carry on. It seals well, so it's very weatherproof as is, but there is a raincoat thats stowed in the bottom that covers it even better (I don't think I want to be in a rainstorm that necessitates that). The one thing that can be an issue is that this bag is too much if you're just taking a camera and one lens. I still have a Nova 1, which serves this function well, and the dividers that came with the Nova 1 came in handy, as this bags allotment was sufficient for most uses, but not mine.

No Design Flaw.......2007-02-05
I can't comment on the other Nova bags, but the Nova 3 has a very rugged strap attachment. It's a metal D-ring and a metal clasp. Zoom in on the photo and you can see it. Overall, this bag is very well constructed and has lots of adjustable internal dividers to customize it for your equipment. It may be larger than you need for a small camera, but I think it's just the right size for my DSLR (Pentax K10D) plus battery charger, cables, and a short telephoto. There is still room for one or two additional lenses or an external flash. Overall, a good buy.

I have been using this camera bag for my Canon Rebel XTi and it holds and protects the camera very well. It has many pockets to place your memory cards, batteries and other things. It really looks very durable and I totally recommend it.

This is a great little camera bag. I purchased it solely because I had bought a new zoom lens for my Canon Rebel and with the lens attached to the camera, it didn't fit in the old camera bag. So I had to buy a new bag. This bag works great for me. It will hold the extra zoom lens, extra film, batteries, plus the Rebel with the 80m-300m zoom attached to it. And pockets galore, I was surprised at how many pockets this bag has. Which was good for me, because usually I need the extra pockets told hold a few dollars, and my personal information when I travel. It's a very sturdy bag, and I'm very pleased with it.

The bag is well padded and fits the following in the main compartment
- Nikon D80 with 18-200mm lens attached
- 50mm f1.8 lens
- battery charger (bulky for D80 battery)
The bag has several pockets:
- Pocket in front of bag. I store extra batteries, memory here.
- Pocket inside the top cover. They placed a piece of cloth/vinyl to cover the zipper pull so it won't scratch what you have in the main compartment. A nice thought.
- Side external pockets (exposed). I guess you can stick paper maps here.
The lid feels very sturdy. It is a fairly tight fit, and may require some fiddling with to close. The only - for the bag.
Great camera bag for Canon XTi.......2007-01-16
I took this bag on a recent trip to Egypt and France to hold my brand new Canon XTi camera and lenses. The bag is big enough to store supplies, yet small enough to carry around for hours. There are so many compartments that allow easy access to camera gear. I really like the rain protector that comes out of the bottom of the case.
Overall a great bag for long day trips with your camera and two lenses. I was able to carry the following, plus my canon point and shoot and ipod.
strap gets undone easily.......2006-11-20
The bag itself is okay. I can fit an SLR body plus 3 lenses and small accessories. It is not waterproof but it comes with a plastic cover which can be used to keep rain out. However, none of that matters when there is a seriously weak link. During my first trip with this bag, the clasp that connects the bag to the shoulder strap came undone twice within 3 days, dropping the bag to the ground and damaging some of my lenses. I examined the strap to see what the problem was and apparently it is a design flaw rather than a defect. The 2 clasps at the end of the strap that connect it to the bag are narrow and made of plastic. They can easily be twisted out of alignment, making an opening through which the connecting rings on the bag can fall through. I did not overload the bag, abuse it or misuse it, yet it failed to do what it is supposed to do: carry my camera equipment safely. I had never dropped any of my photo equipment prior to this. I sent an email to Lowepro's customer service department, calmly explaining what happened and requesting that some sort of compensation be made for damage caused by the faulty design of their product, but they simply ignored my letter.
I would not recommend this bag or any Lowepro bag to anyone who value their cameras.
