Great pictures but problem with toner.......2007-12-21
I love the picture quality and use this all the time. However what happens is the toner cartridge runs out and I end up with many, many sheets of paper. Since this is a kit and you cannot buy the toner separate, The extra photo paper is wasted. The company said maybe I was doing this and that but I did exactly as they said and it did not fix the situation of too little toner for the amount of paper in this kit. Would I still buy it. YES.

Ink runs out before you finish all the sheets of paper. Sad, because you can't buy the ink by itself. Kodak is ripping people off. Hopefully a competitor will come up with something fast.

I purchased my Kodak Easyshare camera and printer two years ago, and have enjoyed being able to print pictures almost immediately after taking them. Recently attended a family reunion and brought printer along and was able to give everyone pictures I took during the visit. It was really nice to be able to do that, and everyone seemed to be very happy to receive them.

Kodak-KODAK EASYSHARE C743 Zoom Digital Camera-poor quality.......2007-12-17
I foolishly purchased this camera in November. Keep in mind this is the 3rd digital camera I have bought, only because I constantly buy junk that malfunctions immediately. Well, I have learned my lesson well. This camera worked just fine. Yesterday I turned it on, and the red light flashed, and it then flickered and died for no apparent reason. I suspect it is because I had to unplug and replug it it a couple of times into my computer ,before Vista would recognize it. I don't believe I did anything wrong with it. The quality is not there, it simply should not have burned out. I think a piece from the board inside burned. I just want to say don't be like me, and please read reviews before placing any online order. Also don't lose your temper and smash the thing like me. I would advise to just buy your product at the store, it will be well worth the trip to best buy or any retailer. Always play around with the store display models if possible. I have lost $800, due to poor purchasing decisions over the internet. If you haven't got the time to go to the post office or any carrier to package and return , then don't buy on the net. Yes I swapped out for new batteries, and it was dead.
Mixed feelings.......2007-12-06
This is the second Kodak digital point-and-shoot I've owned. The first one merits its own review but I wound up with a broken battery door I had to tape shut. With this one I was given a refurb for Mother's Day earlier this year. It seemed to be fine until my daughter touched the lens with greasy fingers (she was two at the time) and I had to clean it. Not thinking, I touched the tip of the lens cleaner to the lens. This is OK in a manual SLR; it is not OK in an electronic device. Now the iris that covers the lens when the camera is off does not work right. On top of that, several months into my ownership of this thing, it makes weird noises sometimes when I am trying to focus on something. Also, every now and again it seizes up and I have to take the batteries out of it and put them back in to get it to behave correctly again. (That was a problem before the lens cleaner incident.) I'm sure some of this is that the camera is a refurb, but between sales staff I spoke with at my local Target and some of the reviewers I've read here and my own experiences, it strikes me that Kodak is making cameras a lot more flimsy than it used to. Meanwhile my old Canon AT-1 is still working and still taking nice photos at over twenty years of age. Isn't that sad? I want to like Kodak's cameras. I still own an old film point-and-shoot Cameo that I've carried around in my purse and bumped and bruised and it's still in pristine condition. But if they're making them to break now, to force people to upgrade, that is not cool. I don't have a bunch of extra money lying around to replace these things every six months. Sorry. Guess I'll go with Canon or Nikon next time.
I'm rating this thing four stars because the lens cleaner incident was my fault and because the camera still takes gorgeous pictures. But really, Kodak needs to make cameras for the real world, not just for people who will handle these things with kid gloves and store them in museum conditions at home.
Garbage.......2007-11-01
I loved my old Kodak, so I thought that this would be a good replacement. WRONG! It drained batteries from the word go. It doesn't matter what kind of battery I use either. If I leave a battery in overnight, it is dead by morning. I shouldn't have to remove the battery after every use. And part of the reason I chose this model was because it takes video, but if I take a 2 minute video with a new battery, it drains the battery to the point that I can't take another picture. I am sending it in to be repaired, but the service tech from India said that if there is "any evidence of damage" my warranty is void. I told him that the battery cover is cracked from constantly opening and closing it, but that the camera has never been dropped and lives in a camera case. When I asked if I should be concerned that they might void the warranty because of the cracked battery door he only repeated the threat about damage evidence. Now I'm paranoid that they won't uphold the warranty.
Will not turn on reliably.......2007-10-28
Like some other users, we have found that the camera decides on its own whether to turn on or not. No amount of battery changing, cleaning, will get it to turn on every time. If it does turn on, we tried turning it off and right back on- won;t turn on again. But, if someone just keep turning it on and off, it will eventuallyt turn on once in awhile.

Great camera BUT not durable.......2007-10-22
The camera works great... when it works.... for the price, the feature are very good... high quality prints & the video capture with sound is fantastic since you can take video up to the size of your SD card. On the down side the camera is not very durable. The LCD is easliy broken, as is the lens, a lot seem to experiance an error message when trying to open it... I've also had the battery cover break... not break off, the cover cracked in half & part of the plastic fell off....

Excellent Deal.......2007-11-09
What a great deal this is!!!! I love the convienence of printing my own pictures when I want to. This was a gift for my 23 year old daughter. This camera has been to Disney World and alot of other places. It is great for people who do not have alot of money to tie up in electronics. It is a basic camera that takes great pictures. I was very pleased when my shipment showed up on time I think it was even a little early. So far so good no problems. I would recommend this product to anyone.

Really like the camera. As a digital camera dummy,I found the instructions somewhat lacking. However even I can take great pictures. But getting them out of the computer is a trying experience. The printer dock is great. No problem there. Kodak needs to explain simple procedures to us dummies!

It is difficult to review a camera that will not turn on. This is the second (LS443 the first) that I have purchased. This one I have returned and replaced with a Canon product. The other, which refuses to operate is in the junk.

Great Bundle! Wrong Media cartridge recommendation!!!.......2007-01-02
Love the camera and printer dock. You only receive enough paper and cartidge for 5 prints. They recommend purchasing the PH160 Media cartridge. This is absolutely wrong!!!!!! [...]states that the proper media cartridge is the G200 Media cartridge. Amazon.com does not even sell the proper media cartridge!!!!!!! I found out the hard way. Hope this helps someone!!!

I think I wrote a review on this product before. As far as shipment and delivery goes every thing was fine. As far as the actual product goes it's a Christmas gift so I really can't rate it yet.
Kodak won't service their product.......2007-08-30
The kodak camera we purchased worked fine. The dock broke after approximately 60 pictures. After tons of communications Kodak passes the buck and does nothing. Their customer service sucks. Do not expect them to repair anything that doesn't work. They lost it for 3 months and then made up an excuse that playdoh was jammed in our dock. We don't even own play doh or have any in our house. They are LIARS, do not buy from kodak if you like customer service.
Short lived!.......2007-08-14
We have been disappointed with both camera and printer during the two and a half years we've had them. We had to send the camera back twice during the first year for repairs after lengthy, tedious phone conversations with the company to assure them repeatedly that "no, it has not been immersed in liquid" and to go through a list of very obvious things to check for and eliminate reasons for it malfunctioning. The closure for the battery is now broken on the camera - we gave up and got a Nikon, which we love. My sister had similar problems with her Kodak in a short time period as well. The printer has been very temperamental and has finally died completely.
Good quality pictures, easy to use, but I'd recommend paying a bit more to get a product that will last longer and be more reliable. We have given up on Kodak.
Camera is fine, the camera dock is not the greatest........2007-06-01
I liked the price of the set and having the ability to print pictures with the printer dock is a good idea but I am having problems with the film cartridges not matching up with the number of photo cards that come in the set plus I am also having problems with the photo cards not feeding in to the printer correctly. You may want to buy the 160 photo cards set as the cost per picture is a lot less than the 40 or 80 card bundles.

Why is Amazon selling a camera for $198.89 when Kodak's MSRP is US $139.00? According to the specs, this camera does not include the printer dock, so it's not the combo price.
Great Little Own the Go Camera.......2007-08-19
I've been using this camera for a about 2 months now and over all its a pretty nice digital camera. Only real complaint I have is finding another USB locally. For the life of me I cant find mine and the port is so little that none of my other millions of adaptors will work. Overall a nice around time, quick snap shots of the kids camera.
Bad for outside use.......2007-06-06
My husband and I have had two of these cameras. They both lasted about a year. The first one quit working when we took it to the beach. It was 50 feet away from the water, and we covered it in a towel to keep it dry and sand-free, but it quit working that day. We got a replacement because it was still under warranty. The second one lasted a little over a year, and it quit working when we took it to a swimming hole with us. Again, we made sure it was wrapped up and inside a backpack. A friend took it out for one picture, and after that it stopped working. There was water involved both times, and I think that might have something to do with it, but neither time did the camera get anywhere near the water, and it wasn't humid, either. All in all, it's a cheap camera, and it's great if you never take it outside, but I wouldn't reccomend this camera.
Beware of the Repair.......2007-03-20
$ I just sent my camera in for repair to a location recommended by Kodak. I just received an estimate of $85.00 plus shipping, to repair the MCU, whatever that is. Anyway, as all may already know, this camera can be purchased here on Amazon for $95.00. So you be the judge. This camera should be advertised as a "disposable camera". When it costs more to repair something than to replace, it's usually called junk. Never again Kodak. Once burnt twice shy.

I got this camera for my birthday, it works really well! Not very expensive, takes [usually] clean photos, but lighting can sometimes be difficult. Video is good, but no sound. =(
Good for teenagers, if it's lost/broken you're not out a lot of money, small enough to keep with you, easy to use, and great for pictures of you & friends. I would definetly recommend it.
(PS, we got one for my grandpop's birthday too, and he understands the basics. Not hard to learn)

I truly enjoy using my z650 and it takes superb pictures until now... I've only had my camera for less than a year and when I take photos, I'm getting a hazy photo with fine horizontal lines going across the display or it just shows up white. I raved about my camera prior to this malfunction. If it's something that I'm doing or "not" doing then I say go for it and purchase the product; however, if my camera is going haywire already then continue searching. Check a kodak z650 forum online to see what the problem may be. That's where I'm going now...

The zoom is spectacular, and it is easy to purchase accessories for the lens. I always have my wide-angle and tele-photo lenses ready for superior photographs from my Z650. I highly recommend using the Kodak Ni-MH Lithium Ion battery pack with this camera for optimal performance, since rechargeable AA's drain too quickly.

I bought this a year ago to replace my 35mm Pentax. I bought it from Amazon & it came with the camera dock and a KODAK Lens Adapter, 45.5 to 55 mm. I love the pictures that it takes. As far as the batteries, when you set the camera on the camera dock, the batteries recharge. I don't have any trouble with the lens cap staying on because it snaps into the lens adapter, which I usually keep on to protect the lens.
