I think I wrote a review on this product before. As far as shipment and delivery goes every thing was fine. As far as the actual product goes it's a Christmas gift so I really can't rate it yet.
Kodak won't service their product.......2007-08-30
The kodak camera we purchased worked fine. The dock broke after approximately 60 pictures. After tons of communications Kodak passes the buck and does nothing. Their customer service sucks. Do not expect them to repair anything that doesn't work. They lost it for 3 months and then made up an excuse that playdoh was jammed in our dock. We don't even own play doh or have any in our house. They are LIARS, do not buy from kodak if you like customer service.
Short lived!.......2007-08-14
We have been disappointed with both camera and printer during the two and a half years we've had them. We had to send the camera back twice during the first year for repairs after lengthy, tedious phone conversations with the company to assure them repeatedly that "no, it has not been immersed in liquid" and to go through a list of very obvious things to check for and eliminate reasons for it malfunctioning. The closure for the battery is now broken on the camera - we gave up and got a Nikon, which we love. My sister had similar problems with her Kodak in a short time period as well. The printer has been very temperamental and has finally died completely.
Good quality pictures, easy to use, but I'd recommend paying a bit more to get a product that will last longer and be more reliable. We have given up on Kodak.
Camera is fine, the camera dock is not the greatest........2007-06-01
I liked the price of the set and having the ability to print pictures with the printer dock is a good idea but I am having problems with the film cartridges not matching up with the number of photo cards that come in the set plus I am also having problems with the photo cards not feeding in to the printer correctly. You may want to buy the 160 photo cards set as the cost per picture is a lot less than the 40 or 80 card bundles.

Why is Amazon selling a camera for $198.89 when Kodak's MSRP is US $139.00? According to the specs, this camera does not include the printer dock, so it's not the combo price.
Great Little Own the Go Camera.......2007-08-19
I've been using this camera for a about 2 months now and over all its a pretty nice digital camera. Only real complaint I have is finding another USB locally. For the life of me I cant find mine and the port is so little that none of my other millions of adaptors will work. Overall a nice around time, quick snap shots of the kids camera.
Bad for outside use.......2007-06-06
My husband and I have had two of these cameras. They both lasted about a year. The first one quit working when we took it to the beach. It was 50 feet away from the water, and we covered it in a towel to keep it dry and sand-free, but it quit working that day. We got a replacement because it was still under warranty. The second one lasted a little over a year, and it quit working when we took it to a swimming hole with us. Again, we made sure it was wrapped up and inside a backpack. A friend took it out for one picture, and after that it stopped working. There was water involved both times, and I think that might have something to do with it, but neither time did the camera get anywhere near the water, and it wasn't humid, either. All in all, it's a cheap camera, and it's great if you never take it outside, but I wouldn't reccomend this camera.
Beware of the Repair.......2007-03-20
$ I just sent my camera in for repair to a location recommended by Kodak. I just received an estimate of $85.00 plus shipping, to repair the MCU, whatever that is. Anyway, as all may already know, this camera can be purchased here on Amazon for $95.00. So you be the judge. This camera should be advertised as a "disposable camera". When it costs more to repair something than to replace, it's usually called junk. Never again Kodak. Once burnt twice shy.

I got this camera for my birthday, it works really well! Not very expensive, takes [usually] clean photos, but lighting can sometimes be difficult. Video is good, but no sound. =(
Good for teenagers, if it's lost/broken you're not out a lot of money, small enough to keep with you, easy to use, and great for pictures of you & friends. I would definetly recommend it.
(PS, we got one for my grandpop's birthday too, and he understands the basics. Not hard to learn)

I truly enjoy using my z650 and it takes superb pictures until now... I've only had my camera for less than a year and when I take photos, I'm getting a hazy photo with fine horizontal lines going across the display or it just shows up white. I raved about my camera prior to this malfunction. If it's something that I'm doing or "not" doing then I say go for it and purchase the product; however, if my camera is going haywire already then continue searching. Check a kodak z650 forum online to see what the problem may be. That's where I'm going now...

The zoom is spectacular, and it is easy to purchase accessories for the lens. I always have my wide-angle and tele-photo lenses ready for superior photographs from my Z650. I highly recommend using the Kodak Ni-MH Lithium Ion battery pack with this camera for optimal performance, since rechargeable AA's drain too quickly.

I bought this a year ago to replace my 35mm Pentax. I bought it from Amazon & it came with the camera dock and a KODAK Lens Adapter, 45.5 to 55 mm. I love the pictures that it takes. As far as the batteries, when you set the camera on the camera dock, the batteries recharge. I don't have any trouble with the lens cap staying on because it snaps into the lens adapter, which I usually keep on to protect the lens.

KODAK RIPS OFF THEIR CUSTOMERS WITH THIS CAMERA.......2007-06-14
I purchased this camera for my office. I had to convince my boss that Kodak was a good camera and the dock system was the way to go...unfortunately my recommendation turned out to be a nightmare!! We spent almost $300 for the camera and dock station - haven't taken 75 pictures with the camera and it is junk! When I turn the camera on it extends the lense about 1/4" and then retracts and shuts itself off. I tried all of the sites from Kodak and after numerous correspondence with Kodak the conclusion is: 1. I can send the camera back to them and for $125.00 they will fix it. (I can buy a new one for $129.00) 2. I can send the camera in and they would sell me a "refurbished" camera for between $250-$300. OR 3. Pitch the piece of junk camera and buy anything else but a KODAK....I'm going with #3 !!! Save your money and time trying to deal with Kodak!!

This camera was worth the money. I like that if you take a picture and you do not like it you can deliete it right away.It is easy to use. I am still learning how to use it. I just like that a lot is turn on and pic a setting and take a picture.
Never buy a Kodak Camera.......2007-04-27
I have had this camera for about a year. It has been nothing but a problem. First, the kodak easyshare software has continuous problems. I have spent HOURS trying to fix it. Still has bugs in it no matter what I do.
Secondly, the camera is very unreliable. I have a wedding to go to this weekend and I do not trust it and am taking a disposable camera too. How do I explain the problems I have had? There are so many. The camera misfunctions continuously. Sometimes it does nothing at all. Other times the zoom lense will not shut. You turn the option selector on and even though it is on the option you select you get another option. I sometimes can not even shut the camera off I gotta take the batteries out to do so...if I can even find batteries that work in the camera.
Honestly, I call tech supoport and told them the problems I have having and they tell me that only Kodak batteries work with the camera and told me to buy some. SO I went to a nice camera shop and they do not sell kodak batteries. The camera salesman told me that Kodak cameras are junk and the brand of battery should not matter. I believe him. So my camera which would not work...I asked the salesman to help me out. It did not work with any lithium batteries.....reusable or rechargable. He popped in some alkaline batteries and amazingly it worked. Well, everyone knows alkaline batteries have a real short short life. My camera now does not work with either batteries. Probably only Kodak batteries....maybe....or maybe Kodak wants to get another ten bucks out of me.
I personally don't even think the pictures this camera takes are any good. Really, when people take pictures of me with this camera my eyes are always closed. I am so anxious to get rid of this camera.....well would be but know I gotta fork over at least $250 on a good camera. Trying to save money on this 'disposable' camera was a waste. STAY AWAY FROM KODAK CAMERAS! If you don't believe me get a creditable camera magazine and read reviews.
Pricey repair quote.......2007-04-10
I too purchased this camera online. I believe that the camera itself took quality photos, but upon the lense no longer telescoping. I contacted the repair line only to find out that they quoted me $150 for the repair! I could not locate my receipt, even though I purchased it new online and registered it, they would only say, "no receipt, no warranty". Valuable lesson learned.

I have never been an avid photographer, preferring much more to experience and enjoy the moment rather than fumbling around with a camera trying to get the perfect shot. This camera, with its ease of use and great picture quality, gives me the best of both worlds. I've had it for over 6 months now and have been very pleased with it. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is for one piece of misleading advertising. The camera is touted as running on AA batteries, but when you read the manual you learn that "standard" AA alkaline batteries are not recommended. You must use lithium or rechargeable batteries instead. This is probably the reason for many reviewer complaints about battery life and about the camera shutting itself off - it just doesn't run on alkalines. But I've had no problems running it on lithiums and rechargeables.
I also can't make any recommendations about the software one way or the other. I did the custom setup and installed the USB drivers only, which work fine. I use Adobe Photoshop Elements to do my editing and am thrilled with the results.

Beware: Many problems!.......2007-12-14
I purchased this camera a year ago. I have found more and more things wrong with the camera and am so disgusted with it that I am buying a different one. My brother and I both have the same cameras (Christmas gift from our parents) and he is experiencing the same problems. It is not just my camera that seems to have these problems!
First, the flash is VERY bright. I am constantly having to turn off the flash and turn on a room light just to get a decent picture. If I leave the flash on, his eyes are half-closed and he looks drunk. If I do not have the flash on, then the pictures are too dark. I've tried ALL the 4 or 5 setting for the flash and none of them correct this problem! I also frequently get red-eyes in my pictures even when I'm using the red eye flash!
Second, the batteries! I have the WORST time with the batteries for this camera! They die within ONE day for me! I don't even have to have the camera turned on and it is dead the next time I try to use it! I switched from using the rechargeable batteries to the regular AA batteries just so I can depend on my camera to turn on when I want a quick picture of my son. The AA's drain SO fast that I go through (literally) 3-4 sets of batteries in a given month and I do NOT take that many pictures. My brother has the same camera and he has experienced the same problems!
Third, the dock! Most of the time I have to fiddle with the dock and have the camera tilted in just the right position to get the dock to recognize that the camera is attached to it. It often turns off, even in the middle of transferring pictures. I have tried 4-5 different power outlets, and the dock acts the same way in each of them.
Fourth, the picture quality only deteriorates! When I first received the camera the pictures were of adequate/good quality. However, now ALL of them are blurry! Every single one that I take is blurry whether I'm moving or not, whether the target of the picture is moving or not, and even when using the camera function (sports, I believe) that is supposed to account for movement. None of it works now and every picture is very blurry.
Today was the last straw with this camera. I put new batteries in it just yesterday since I knew that I would be taking pictures of my son today. I went to turn it on, and it did NOTHING! I tried 5 or 6 times to turn it on and it did nothing. I eventually changed the batteries, and tried to turn it on on a different setting, and it still did nothing. I finally brought the camera in to show it to my husband and it finally turned on after he tried a couple of times to turn it on.
In sum, this camera has many problems and it only gets worse as the camera gets older. I would have expected much better quality on a camera that is about $100. My camera is approximately one year old and has been performing very, very, very poorly for at least the last 6 months, starting to have problems for at least 9 months, and only worked well for about 2-3 weeks after I got it. Save yourself the time and money and don't buy this camera. I am buying a more expensive one and hoping for better luck!

Had this Kodak Easyshare C340 for about 1 year. I just want a camera to take pictures. It does this well. It is easy to use. I am not really experienced, this is my first digital camera. I use rechargeable batteries and they last a good amount of time, have never died in the middle of an event or anything. Overall happy with this purchase.

I upgraded from a 2 megapixel camera to this one, and it's a great camera. Easy to use, great battery life (with rechargable) and very durable. I've had it a couple years now and have taken tens of thousands of pics.

I bought this camera for my mother at Christmas. She is a person who needs something VERY simple to operate, and it worked out very well for her. The display screen is not huge, but it's large enough for her average eye-sight.
Learning to take, review and delete photos was very quick for her. It took a lesson or two for her to learn how to download the images onto her computer.
I'm also impressed with the quality of the images. A nice, simple camera to carry around for any ocassion.

I have marginal experience with this product. I've owned it around 18 months and had mixed results.
Overall Ease of Use:
So long as it turns on, it's more or less point and shoot. No worrying about depth of field, aperture, etc, just aim and push the button.
A lot of people will talk about the different settings it has... action, close-up, etc. It's all crap. None of these exotic sounding features ever work like they're supposed to. For example, if you ever try to take a photo of a sunset or thundercloud, you will be very upset, because this camera doesn't understand when you want it to work like a plain old normal camera and not try to bump up the exposure. So if you do try, you end up with a well exposed foreground, and a background that is pale and washed out.
Also, the camera's sensor produces drastically different pictures depending which angle you have it aimed.
If you think you see cool clouds, the camera's sensor wants to blow things out, so to get them to look good, you must hold the camera at a bizarre angle that lets the proper amount of light in.
Reliability:
Low. If your Kodak batteries aren't just charged 5 minutes ago, you have about 20 shots you can take before it's drained. Then again, I went to a wedding and wanted to take some snapshots. I put some relatively fresh batteries in, put it in my pocket, and then found out I had accidentally turned it on and the batteries were dead. No Auto-Off there or anything, so my girlfriend and I hope we everyone else's pictures turned out well.
General Picture Quality:
Depends... mediocre to bad. As everyone says, if you're in a low lighted room, you're screwed... unless you use flash, when you can be screwed because the camera loves to overexpose when you use flash. I've noticed if you go into the menu and manually turn down the low light compensation you can get your pictures to look better. Even in this situation, the flash has a tendency to give everything in the room the same amount of light, annoyingly flattening the image.
If you're lucky enough to be in a bright situation, you STILL have to be careful, as the camera seems to have a nack for picking up a lot of UV haze. You'll take a picture and then wonder why everything is so friggin foggy. Additionally, you will also remark aloud of this when you try to view a picture at its full 5 megapixel resolution.
I still have to experiment a bit with the ISO adjustments that can be made to the camera (which sounds like a pretty good amount of control to have for such a dinky camera), but almost all pictures taken with this camera have a ridiculous amount of grain and fog. It just looks like you've zoomed in 200% on a 2.1 mp photo. It's my opinion that the camera's CCD provides its best output when you save your pictures at 2.1mp.
As a matter of fact, one of the best pictures I've ever taken in my life is the result of this camera at 2.1mp. Lit from the side with ambient light, it was perfect.
Video Function:
Like gritty 8mm footage, but not so smooth. My camera's mic distorts on high frequencies too now, so that anytime I record voice, it makes me sound like I have a lisp. This is fun for birthday cake blowing out footage, but I can't imagine ever wanting to record anything important with it.
Included Software:
Installed it once and regretted the hassle it made every time I wanted to look at my photos. With my new computer, I just use the Windows software.
Included Printer:
Never used it. It makes a lovely charger though.
Overall Opinion:
This camera, if you're looking for snapshots and willing to sift through to find the goodies is good. It's not consistent, but if you're lucky and careful, you CAN make some gems with it. Those looking for crystal clear resolution, spend more money, maybe get a Canon or a Nikon... you'll be happier in the end.
For more artistic control for less money, go out and buy a film SLR for 50 bucks at a pawn shop. Get a photo CD made when you develop your film.
